Trad Practice, Practice

I have been steady improving on my groups with both the recurve, and the longbow.  I come home from work and shoot every day.  Ironically, my very first shot is always dead on.  In previous years this was not the case.  Anyways on my 3rd round tonight I did something I have only done once before in my life.......I Robin-Hooded and Arrow.  But this time it was with a recurve.  THAT is a first.  I found myself taking pictures as if I had shot a buck.  Too Funny.  Here are some of the pics.

After taking pictures like a fool, I started shooting again.  And Dang near did it again, so I quit.  Things are looking good for this season and the "Stick and String.

New Bow

I have been practicing with my longbow and
struggling hitting a nice group.  It is a 55 lb. Martin
Savannah.  I know what I need.......something with
less weight to practice with.  Saw a Bear Grizzly
on MWC and jumped at it.  It is a 45lb 70's era
bow.  Anything Fred bear is sacred in the archery world.
It was very affordable, with a slight limb twist.  I could
not resist.  Here are a few pics.  My first 4 shots were
just as if not better than my long bow.....with-out a nock.

Checked Some Camera's

My camera's were only soaking for a week, but after the storms we had last week I figured  I would check on them to make sure they were intact.  Here are some of the better pics.

Fishing After The Storm

Maryland got hammered Late Friday night
by a bad damaging storm.  Earlier that night I
got the truck ready to go fishing Saturday Morning.

I slept thru the storm, but Donna heard the crazy
lightning show and the rain.  As planned we woke
up at 4:30 unaware of the widespread damage.
Anyway, as we got half way there we started seeing
all the debris and downed lines and trees.
But we went fishing anyways.

Donna caught a perch right away.

I guess these goats escaped from their Penn somewhere.

I caught a 14" bass and we both caught a few
blugills, white perch, and Donna caught a crappie,
and a catfish.

They made for a good meal last night.
